If you’re anything like me, store-bought dressings just don’t compare to the fresh, homemade variety. This Honey-Balsamic Vinaigrette is one of my favorites to whip up because it’s so easy and packed with flavor.
The combination of sweet honey, tangy balsamic, and a little kick of garlic and red pepper flakes makes it a go-to for salads, roasted veggies, and even as a marinade. Plus, you can make a batch in minutes and have it ready in your fridge whenever you need it!
Let me show you how simple it is to make your own dressing at home.
Quick and Easy Honey-Balsamic Vinaigrette
Ingredients
- 1 small yellow or sweet onion (quartered)
- 2 garlic cloves
- 1 T low sodium soy sauce
- 3 T honey
- Pinch of red pepper flakes
- ½ c balsamic vinegar
- ⅔ c extra virgin olive oil
How to Make Honey Balsamic Vinaigrette
- Place all your ingredients but the olive oil in a high powered blender. Blend until ingredients are combined well.
- Turn the blender on low and slowly add the olive oil in and then blend for another 30 seconds to 1 minute.
- Place in a dressing bottle or mason jar with a lid. Store in the fridge.
- After refrigerating it may seem a bit chunky, simply shake well before pouring. It is a bit thicker vinaigrette but tastes great!

I love pairing this dressing with my Easy Roasted Beet Kale Salad topped with Goat Cheese, or tossing it into a simple salad made of mixed greens, bell peppers, strawberries, black beans, carrots, and tomatoes, finished with a sprinkle of crushed tortilla chips. It may sound like an unusual combo, but trust me, it’s absolutely delicious!
