Kale thrives when the temperatures are between 50°F and 75°F.

Spring and fall are the best times to grow kale.

WHERE TO PLANT KALE  SEEDS

Kale does best with 4+ hours of sunlight. Plant in raised garden beds, large containers that are at least 12" deep or the ground. 

HOW TO PLANT KALE SEEDS IN 3 EASY STEPS

STEP 1 -PREPARE GROWING AREA

Prepare your growing area for planting. Add a 2- to 3-inch layer of fresh compost to the top of the planting area. 

STEP 2 - PLANT SEEDS

Plant kale seeds ¼” deep. Place seeds about 9 to 12 inches apart so they’ll have plenty of room to grow to their full potential.

STEP 3 - WATER GENTLY

Water the planting area gently. Maintain consistent moisture until your seeds germinate. Sprouts in 5 to 10 days.
