WHEN TO GROW CARROTS

The best time to begin planting carrot seeds is in early spring, 4-6 weeks before your last spring frost date.

WHERE TO PLANT CARROTS

You can grow them in raised beds, container gardens, grow bags, large pots, and in-ground beds. They need at least 9" depth of soil to grow their best.

HOW TO PLANT CARROTS FROM SEED

STEP 1 - PLANT IN FULL SUN

Carrots need 6-8hrs of full sun to grow their best. Pick a sunny location.

STEP 2 - PREPARE PLANTING LOCATION

Prepare growing area with compost, sand and organic fertilizer.

STEP 3 - PLANT CARROT SEEDS

Plant carrot seeds directly outside 1/4"deep and 2"-4" a part with 4" spacing between rows.

STEP 4 - COVER CARROT SEEDS

Cover the carrot seeds gently with a fine layer of compost or potting mix.

STEP 5 - WATER CARROT SEEDS

Water the seeds gently after planting. The soil should remain moist. Seeds should sprout in about 7 to 14 days.
