When to Plant Calendula Seeds

Calendula plants are annuals that love cool weather and can handle some light frosts.

The best time to plant calendula is in the spring and fall.

You can start calendula indoors about 4-6 weeks before last frost or direct sow outside in the garden 2 weeks before last frost.

Wait until your temps drop below 85°F in the fall to plant another round of calendula if you live in a warmer climate.

I’ve spent the last decade teaching my followers how to grow their own food. Growing herbs and veggies doesn't always mean you need a ton of space. Learn more about growing calendula by tapping the link below.
