Ingredients
1cupalmond milk
1 cupchopped kale
1scoopvegan vanilla protein powder
1/2Talmond butter
1banana
1cupfrozen mango
Instructions
Add almond milk, chopped kale, mango chunks, banana, protein powder, almond butter, and optional mix-ins last, to blender. Secure the lid.
Blend, starting on the lowest speed and then moving up to the highest, until it’s smooth and your desired consistency. Add more almond milk or juice if your smoothie is too thick (which can happen if you add in lots of extra ingredients). If your smoothie comes out too runny for your liking, add more frozen fruit or ice.
Serve immediately and enjoy! Store any extra smoothie in an airtight container in the fridge.
Notes
For added sweetness add 1-3 pitted dates.
If you don't have vanilla protein powder (and you don't care about the recipe being vegan), you can get that vanilla flavor and all the good protein by using whey protein powder with a drop of vanilla extract.
If you only have fresh mango, add ice cubes to your smoothie (or use frozen bananas instead) until it's reached your desired thickness.
Use a frozen banana for a smoothie that’s on the thicker side.
If you don’t have kale, you can use spinach instead.
If you don’t have almond milk, you can use water, oat milk, soy mik, coconut water, or pineapple juice.
